My Mother and her Mother were both secretaries, one travelling to London at 16 wearing her own home-made suits, and the other, a 1950s & 60s school secretary. Inevitably, I was encouraged to go down the same route, starting as an Office Junior for a Building Contractor making tea, filing, printing and folding plans. Now, I have 35 years behind me in Administration, Secretarial, Personal Assistant, Office Manager and Virtual Assistant (VA) roles. It has been an amazing journey and I have worked with some fascinating people in many different sectors along the way.
